3 Ways to Give Your Audience Value
I must say it at least once a day, either to clients, myself, or someone reaching out for advice: You must provide your audience with value.
What does giving your audience value mean? It means giving them information that is significant, useful, and will ultimately make their lives easier.
How does providing value convert your audience into consumers and attract new followers? Providing value establishes you as the expert, it builds trust, and will keep your audience coming back for more, and will more than likely get them to share with people that they know.
Here are some ways that you can provide your audience with valuable social content.
Educate and Inform- Your knowledge is incredibly valuable, and you should be sharing it. Educate on how to use your product or why your service will make your consumers’ lives easier. Share fun facts and inform them about any events or news happening in your industry. Keep in mind that simply ‘telling’ won’t really work. Think about how you can make these things an actual conversation or interesting story.
Go Behind the Scenes- Going behind the scenes of what you do will help develop more of a personal relationship. They will get to know your story better, see you in action, and see the work that goes into making your product or service. Look at is as an inside look at why your consumer will be purchasing the best product or service available. Just remember to be authentic and have fun.
Tug at the Emotions- Give away a relatable anecdote about something that happened while you were working, or tell an inspirational story, or you can tell your consumers that they are the best ever and make them smile. Just make sure that it stays on brand and will ring true for your audience.
Remember that social media is not just a sales tool. It is a place to connect and build real relationships. Just like the famous quote by Bob Burg goes, “All things being equal, we do business with who we like and trust.”
